Latvia’s state establishing and fights for freedom. 1918 – 1920
Independent Latvian state had been proclaimed on the 18th of November 1918; however Latvian territory had been occupied by German soldiers and Soviet Russia troops threatened from the East.
The exposition allows seeing the first national military unit, later – Latvian Army formatting and fighting against Russian and German monarchists. The support of Britain, French, Estonian and Polish soldiers played the main role in this fight.
Visited this exposition you will have possibility to see some unique exhibits – protocols of Ministers’ meetings, a part of unique collection of wooden cutting, personal things of Peter Stuchka, and other original items – documents, photos, weapons and solders’ uniforms. |
