Latvian soldiers in the Civil war in Russia. 1918 – 1921

During the Civil war in Russia, Latvian Riflemens have been struggled on the both conflicted sides - in Red army as well as in “White” army, the also have been combated in national soldiers unit in Siberia and Distant East.

It is possible to see unique Red and “White” armies’ soldiers’ personal things and documents.

The special attention should be given to the materials reflected the way of the Troitsk battalion (Latvian national soldiers unit), which was a part of Czechoslovakian corpus, in Siberia and Manchuria, as well as soldiers way home to Latvia throw Asia, Africa and Europe in 1920.
